Little things build up in our lives, we forget our coffee, burn our eggs, get a flat tire, miss a bus, get stuck in traffic or at a red light, break a zipper or heel, lose our keys, the list goes on and on. The funniest part about all of these events is that they happen to EVERYONE EVERY SINGLE DAY yet we all wonder "why everything always happens to only ME?!" No one can sit here and tell me that in their day absolutely nothing went wrong-even on a great day! How we deal with life's little "mishaps" is a huge factor in defining the type of life we live.
If you let the small things build up and take you over, you will spend your whole life frustrated and stressed out much more often than you need to be. Remember to stop and breathe, take the good with the bad as it is handed to you. There is always someone having a worse day than you, and no day should be wasted upset when you don't need to be.
Learn to look at all of the problems you are faced with as "small stuff"-even things that are obviously "big stuff" and try to handle it as just another obstacle in just another day that you have to make it through. You will be surprised at how much peace you find when you stop sweating so much over small stuff, and as you turn bigger and bigger problems into small stuff-you'll have more and more inner peace.
Sometimes things won't work out perfectly or the way you have planned-but that is chapter 2 "Make Peace With Imperfection"
This isn't the best picture, but it fits with the entry really well. Dropping newly purchased groceries is a great potential "small thing" to not sweat over. RIP OJ and spaghetti sauce.
